Hi everyone! Today’s video is to show you how I hide my gray roots at home WITHOUT coloring my hair. (Scroll to bottom of this page to view the video). Of course getting your hair professionally colored looks the best, but my hair grows super fast and really needs colored every 2 weeks. I don’t want to spend that kind of money and I don’t want to color that often. So in between hair coloring, this is what I do. I mention it in the video, but I don’t get my hair professionally colored each time. I color at home with drugstore box color. I also don’t use permanent color at home. My hair is very porous and just sucks up the color so it ends up looking black and then when I go to my hair stylist for color and highlights, she has a hard time lifting out all that black color. So I use semi-perm at home. It covers all my grays and I love it. But the only problem is it fades pretty fast….because it’s semi-permanent. But no biggie, because then when I color it the next time, the color in that previous regrowth finally stays a medium brown and doesn’t fade.

*I forgot to mention, the 2 spray on concealers stay on till you wash it out. The Cover Your Gray brush on applicator “says” it is waterproof, but it isn’t in the slightest. It washes off even when I wash my face at night. But that’s ok with me, because it’s so fast and easy to touch up the next day. I suppose you wouldn’t want to go swimming or get caught in a rain storm with it on. LOL
